Aviation Students Take Flight
As part of an unforgettable excursion, our Year 9 Aviation students recently had their first experience of flying a plane themselves! Through our partnership with the Royal Aero Club of WA, the students had the incredible opportunity to pilot a Cessna 152 with an instructor.
After months of simulator training, the students did everything from taking off to flying along the northern beaches.
Meanwhile, our Year 10 students got to practice landing and experienced some zero-g maneuvers. One standout moment was when Year 10 student Erik Priscott, an aspiring pilot, successfully landed at Rottnest Island.
Both trips were an overwhelming success, with the only downside being that our students couldn’t wait to take to the skies once more!
