Best Small Project for Excellence in Revegetation
Earlier this year, Carey Forrestdale was presented with a trophy from Tranen Revegetation Systems who assisted us in revegetation of the wetlands at the front of the campus.
This trophy was for Best Small Project for Excellence in Revegetation with the Award being WA based and issued by The Revegetation Industry Association of WA (RIAWA).
The award is intended to showcase the efforts and results of quality revegetation projects in WA and it’s an incredible honour to have played a part in this successful project.
The purpose of the project was to rehabilitate the degraded wetland areas that were impacted by the required clearing for the construction of the College.
Overall, this 4.5 year project resulted in a total of 40 species that were planted, 48 species that were seeded to provide a total 55 species used in the rehabilitation program.
We’re extremely proud to have partnered with Tranen Revegetation Systems in bringing an important area of our site back to life!
