“I graduated from Carey in 2015 with little idea of what I wanted to do after high school. I started studying a science degree at Murdoch University and finished with a communications degree.
The biggest thing I learnt at Carey was that I didn’t have to get it right the first time. What really counted was that I had the confidence in myself to recognise that something wasn’t right for me and take a risk to make a change.
Whether it was my approach to studying, the subjects I took or how I chose to spend my time in class (which sometimes wasn’t the most productive…), the teachers at Carey helped me to become independent in my decisions and learn for myself the best way to handle the outcomes from each of them.
I’m now working as a Communications and Content Officer and have found what I love, helping people share their stories through writing and creating.”
