Achieving Gender Equality at Carey
At Carey, we long to faithfully follow Jesus by creating a workplace where every person is seen, valued, and able to thrive. We believe that cultivating a flourishing community begins with fostering a culture of fairness, equality and belonging, where each individual is honoured for their unique identity and contribution.
As we seek to follow Jesus in our time and place, we are committed to continually learning what it means to be just, inclusive and kind in the way we lead, work and relate. This means reflecting deeply on our culture, practices and systems, and taking intentional steps toward greater equity.
As part of this commitment, Carey participates in the national conversation on gender equality through our engagement with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
Under the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, we report annually on six key indicators to help remove barriers to full and equal participation in the workplace. Through this process, we remain accountable, transparent and open to growth, continually aligning our practices with our values.
We recognise this is a journey, not a destination. With humility and hope, we aim to be a workplace that reflects the love of God and contributes meaningfully to broader conversations about dignity, opportunity and justice.
