Year 10 X-Over Down South
Our Year 10 X-Over ‘Down South’ group had a range of unique environmental experiences in the Southwest recently.
This began by spending time on country at Nowanup with Noongar elder, Eugene Eades. Uncle Eugene’s emphasis on healing land and healing people is a unique part of a massive scale rehabilitation program called Gondwana Link, which aims to restore huge sections of land cleared for farming.
After three nights at Nowanup, students met with Amanda Keesing and Keith Bradby from Gondwana Link in Albany before heading to the second base for the program: Peaceful Bay. Students hiked sections of the magnificent Bibbulmun Track and were immersed in the natural world in all its raw and stunning beauty!
