Carey makes Top 50 Schools list!

Carey Baptist College was recently included in a list of the Top 50 schools in Western Australia. This was a list of schools ranked via a matrix that included consideration of fees, socio-economic status, NAPLAN growth over time and ATAR performance over three years.

Recognition as a Top 50 school follows a recent commendation from ACARA acknowledging Carey’s “substantially above-average gain in reading and/or numeracy achievement, as measured by NAPLAN”.

The College was also proud of the achievements of our most recent graduates who achieved outstanding WACE results that included 22 students being recognised for academic achievement in the top 10% of Australian tertiary entrance scores.

“This recognition is a testament to the long term efforts of our students and staff who know what it means to go the second mile to achieve personal excellence,” said Secondary Principal (Harrisdale Campus) Mr Brenden Gifford.

“Whilst we are pleased they have received this recognition, we remain a values-based College seeking the longer-term development of young women and men of both character and compassion. Qualities that last a lifetime.”
