Congratulations to Scott Elstermann!
On the 2nd of May, the Performing Arts WA Awards were announced and our guest dance teacher Scott Elstermann took home FOUR awards including Best Performer (Male) and Best New Work for his incredible Act 2, Scenes 1-4.
Scott is the first and only Australian and youngest-ever international recipient of the prestigious Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography. Scott received the Palisade Award for ‘Most Outstanding Graduate’ of the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) course at the acclaimed Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He has a versatile background, receiving titles such as Junior Australasian Jazz champion and Youth Queensland Ballroom DanceSport champion.
He has performed for some of Australia’s leading dance artists including Lucy Guerin Inc., Stephanie Lake Company, Natalie Allen, Annette Carmichael, Shona Erskine and Brooke Leeder & Dancers.
Scott is currently a guest dance teacher for the Certificate II in Dance students at Carey Harrisdale.
