Sanya’s Selfless Birthday Gift
Carey Harrisdale Year 3 student, Sanya Singh Brar, recently celebrated her 9th Birthday. Instead of a big birthday, she asked her friends and family to help her make hampers for families in need.
Sanya then decorated the 10 food hamper boxes with her friends, before donating them to Restore A Smile Foundation Australia. Each box included a drawing and handwritten message from Sanya.
“I felt good that I could help people who don’t have food and it was so much fun choosing and shopping for all the food with my mum,” she said. “It was an awesome birthday.”
What a generous and creative idea, Sanya! We are sure that you’ve put a smile on many different faces.
