Recognising our 2021 Academic Achievers

Congratulations to all the Secondary students who received academic awards last Thursday.

In place of our Medals of Excellence Assembly, course award recipients were presented with their awards by members of the Secondary Leadership Team and their homeroom teachers. Mr. Gifford presented the Medals of Excellence awards to the Year 11 and 12 students in the outdoor courtyard.

To receive a Medal of Excellence students are required to achieve at least 75% ‘A’ grades across all of their courses. This is a remarkable feat achieved by nine of our students in Year 10 and Year 11 in Semester 2 2021!

A big congratulations to Jorja who received the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Long Tan Leadership Award. This award recognises students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader community, and who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and ‘mateship’ values. Thank you Jorja for all you bring to our Carey community.
