NAPLAN Congratulations!

Our Primary School at Carey Harrisdale was very pleased to receive congratulations from ACARA recently for our substantially above average gain in our reading and numeracy achievements in Years 3 and 5 for NAPLAN 2018.

ACARA stated, “Improvement in student literacy and/or numeracy of this magnitude, as measured by NAPLAN, is significant and worthy of highlighting and acknowledging.”

“We are very proud of all our Primary School students, staff and families for this achievement,” Primary Principal Ms Cockram said.

“We attribute this success to a number of factors: our whole school approach to student progress in all years, from Kindy to Year 6; the pastoral care which is essential for students to feel confident and safe to take risks; and the commitment of our families to support their children and the College in the programs we offer.”

“NAPLAN is just one of many assessments we do throughout the year, and we are proud of each and every one of our students for their efforts, achievements and the values by which they live.”
