Kanyana Wildlife Centre X-Over Program
As part of our Year 10 X-Over (Crossover) Program, ten students recently volunteered at the Kanyana Wildlife Centre.
Kanyana Wildlife Centre is a facility that cares for sick and injured wildlife and educates the community about our magnificent natural environment.
The students worked alongside the staff from Kanyana (most of whom were volunteers themselves) and assisted in animal husbandry duties such as cleaning and setting up enclosures, preparing specific diets for mammals, birds and reptiles, as well as feeding animals.
The students also donated several boxes full of items that were needed within the animal hospital and their hard work was very much appreciated by the staff at Kanyana.
Well done to the students who participated and thank you to the staff at Carey and Kanyana for organising this experience for our students.
