Dance Industry Day
Our Carey Harrisdale Certificate II Dance students were recently involved in an Industry Day in our brand new Dance Studio.
The Year 11 and 12 students participated in jazz and contemporary workshops, where they had the opportunity to work with the renowned Western Australian award winner and international scholarship recipient, Scott Elstermann. The students were challenged physically and creatively as they learnt new skills and techniques in the dance industry.
The students also participated in a Q&A session with Scott and Carey Harrisdale Head of Arts, Mrs Sharlene Cuellar, where they asked questions about the dance industry, education pathways, training and performance opportunities. Students also looked at how dance and media have influenced popular culture and independent dance.
