Forrestdale Year 5 Camp
During Week 3, our Forrestdale Year 5 students had a three-day trip to Kalgoorlie which was an incredibly fun, rewarding and educational experience for all involved.
Some of the stops included visiting the Museum of the Goldfields which showcased the rich history of the city’s mining heritage as well as Hannans North Tourist Mine where students tried panning for gold.
There was also a trip to the Super Pit Lookout which left the students in awe as they admired the sheer depth and size of the working mine site.
Everyone agreed that although Kalgoorlie was a little more than a short drive away, it was well worth the visit! This camp was a lovely getaway before the final home-stretch of term.
