Farewell to the Class of 2019
It is hard to believe that we are drawing to the end of 2019, and as we do so we say goodbye to our incredible Year 12 cohort at Carey Harrisdale.
We have enjoyed celebrating the students, embracing their achievements and sharing memories that have been made over their time at the College.
At the end of Term 3, the Year 12 students and their teachers enjoyed a fun festival day together. The day provided much entertainment, with a water fight, bouncy castles, food and the crowd favourite – dunking teachers on the dunking machine!
A special breakfast was held in the students’ honour, where they attended with their families and teachers. Following the breakfast, the students and families attended a Farewell Assembly where memories were shared by students, staff and leadership. The highlight for many of the students was watching their teachers perform a fun choreographed dance! At the conclusion of the Assembly, the Year 12 students departed through a guard of honour created by students from Year 7 to Year 11 and parents of the Year 12 students.
Celebrations continued at the Valedictory Dinner held at Eat Greek in East Fremantle. The College Captains gave speeches reflecting on their time at Carey and Year Managers were presented with a small gift of appreciation. The night was filled with great food, lots of laughs and dancing.
Earlier this term, the Year 12 students attended an Awards Night where they received their graduation certificates and special awards. Students and their families were addressed by leadership and teachers.
Currently, some of our Year 12 students are sitting their ATAR exams and we wish these students only the best with these exams. To all of our graduating Year 12 cohort, we wish you every success with your future endeavours. You will always be welcome at Carey and we look forward to seeing where this next chapter takes you!
