Workplace Learning provides First-Hand Experience

71 General and Vocational Pathways students from Years 11 and 12 recently participated in the College’s Workplace Learning program. Various industries hosted students, offering them valuable experience and vital first-hand information on opportunities and future study pathways. For some students, this was a significant time of personal growth; for others, it provided a great opportunity to test out career thoughts and plans.

Carey has received exemplary feedback from the workplaces involved. Some placements resulted in job offers, and others in School-Based Traineeships, which feed into apprenticeships in highly sought-after industries. Students should be proud of the hard work and dedication they showed. Congratulations!!!

It was exciting to see our students fully immersed in work across such a diverse range of workplaces. For some, this was a significant time of personal growth as they gained self-confidence. For others, it provided a great opportunity to test out career thoughts and plans, gaining a greater understanding of their potential futures.

Some placements resulted in job offers, and others in School-Based Traineeships, which feed into apprenticeships in highly sought-after industries. Students should be proud of the hard work and dedication they showed. Congratulations!!!
