WACSSA Interschool Netball

WACSSA Interschool Netball

On Friday, 7 June, we took 57 Year 5 and 6 students to Southern Districts Netball Centre to participate in the WACSSA Inter-school Netball Carnival. Our students had been coming in for early training sessions, often in the rain, and were really committed to improving their skills and being a part of the team.

All of our teams played exceptionally well, with some amazing wins and some tough losses, from which the students learnt a lot. There were also some great displays of sportsmanship and fairness.

A special mention must go to our Year 5 Girls and Boys teams who were Runner-up Champions, and our Year 6 Girls team who only lost one game throughout the day.

Seeing our students enjoying netball, no matter their experience level, was wonderful!

Many of our students regularly play, so it was great to see them shine at something they excel at. We also had students who had never played before, and it was wonderful to see them try something new. We also saw our boys go out there and apply themselves 100% and really discover a love for the fast-paced game!

I would like to personally thank all of our staff and parents who helped us train in the lead-up to the carnival by giving up their time and imparting lots of skills and knowledge. We are also thankful for the huge parent support base on the day, cheering all our students on.

It was a wonderful day, and the students represented the College exceptionally well.
