Pyper competes in Oceania Rookie Cup
Pyper Kent, a Year 7 Carey Forrestdale student, recently competed in the Oceania Rookie Cup, run by Motorcycling Australia.
She was the only representative from WA, one of only 2 girls chosen alongside 25 boys, and the only girl to compete.
She had a great weekend, showing improvement between all of her races and we wish her all the best as she returns to the track for Round 2 at Broadford State Motorcycle Complex in Victoria this April.
“It’s great to celebrate all of our students for who they are and the things they strive to do both within the classroom and beyond,” Mr Boldy, Pyper’s teacher, said.
“Pyper is the only girl current riding in this nationally assembled squad, the only West Australian and she races teenagers up to 16 years old when she is yet to turn 12. It’s amazing and we are really proud of her.”
