Investing in the Next Generation of Innovators – TMT and Fugro
We’re thrilled to announce two new sponsors of our VEX World Championship Team. Total Marine Technology (TMT) has joined as a Gold sponsor and Fugro as a bronze sponsor.
TMT has been in the marine industry since 1999, delivering Australian-made Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), subsea tooling and survey solutions to clients in the global offshore drilling and production industry.
In Perth, Fugro operates the Australian Space Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Control Complex, or SpAARC. SpAARC is a world-class facility that trains, tests and controls remote and autonomous operations in space and other harsh environments.
Head of Science at Carey, Daniel Braithwaite, said the school is incredibly grateful for this generous support and the opportunity to partner with such innovative companies.
“This investment will help make it possible for our Robotics Team to compete at the VEX competition in Dallas.” Mr Braitwaite said.
Innovation Director APAC at Fugro, Lina Velosa, said the company is committed to technology and investing in the next generation of innovators.
“We wish the team the best of luck and look forward to seeing their impact on the future of robotics.” Lina Velosa said.
Stay tuned for updates on the teams’ progress and accomplishments!
