Humanities Week
In Week 7 of Term 1, the Humanities Department at our Harrisdale Secondary Campus organised a fun week of activities for students in celebration of Humanities Week.
A MasterChef International Foods Competition was held on both Monday and Thursday, where students competed in their House groups in an international-themed cook-off at lunch time.
Thursday’s Senior School Assembly featured an exciting quiz show (Humanities-themed, of course!) in which representatives from each house battled it out for quiz champion.
The week culminated with a ‘Mini Market’ organised by the Year 11 and 12 Career and Enterprise students as well as a ‘Dress for Charity Day’. With the themes of ‘International or Historic’ dress, the day raised funds forĀ Orange Sky Australia, a charity that provides laundry services, safe warm showers and regular connection for people doing it tough in Perth.
Thanks to all staff and students who participated in the Dress Up Day. A total of $650 was raised from the Dress for Charity Day alone! We managed to snap a few photos of some of the best dressed teachers!
