Widow Corney
What do you love about your character?
Widows are usually sweet, however Widow Corney is quite cunning (the mastermind behind Mr Bumble), making her a fun character to perform.
Why did you want to be involved in this production?
I’ve always loved drama. I couldn’t study Drama as a subject this year so decided to join Oliver! I’ve been involved in MidSummer Musical and High School Musical previously. It’s great working with people of different ages and building skills.
Without giving anything away, what’s your favourite line of dialogue?
“Oh Mr Bumble, I think I shall scream!” (Widow Corney speaking when Mr Bumble kisses her hand).
Why should people come and see Oliver!?
We have an amazing cast with a wide variety of people, showcasing the diversity and talent at Carey. It’s a play that’s funny and sad, making something for everyone to enjoy.
