Carey Alumni Success
“I graduated from Carey in 2014 after starting in Year 7. Taking Geography with Mr Austin in Year 11 and 12 is where my love and appreciation for our planet really started.
It was after this that I decided to study Geography at Curtin University, then moving into a Master in Sustainability and Climate Policy.
This year I was awarded the ‘Women in Design and Built Environment Award’ for the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute. This award is given to the female who shows leadership and innovation in their field and is identified as a future leader. I now work for a regional council that educates the public on waste reduction and recycling through a range of different projects and avenues.
Carey planted the seed for my career and it’s something that I value deeply. I was taught so many valuable skills that got me to this point in my life and career.”
