Beauty on Display Exhibition
In Term 3, every Carey Forrestdale student from Kindy to Year 8 went out into the bush on our campus with the intention of finding something that encompassed beauty as they personally perceived it.
The students captured photos of the beautiful things they saw, including trees, flowers, insects and their friends. Each student then selected one of their photos to be framed and professionally mounted for our exhibition night.
On the night of the exhibition, Forrestdale was transformed into an enchanting maze filled with close to 300 pictures. Parents, children and staff all came along to admire the vast array of work with over 500 people filling the space. It was an incredible night of community, topped off with cheese platters, live music and a glimpse behind the lens of each child and how they individually saw beauty in our world.
