Aviation Program Flight Simulation
The Carey Harrisdale Aviation Department recently purchased a flight simulation suite called ‘X Plane 11’.
The cutting edge software provides students with a realistic experience of flying a plane. The software includes planes ranging from Cessnas to Stealth Bombers, realistic 3D scenery, 13,000 international airports, weather simulation, full instrument control and is Virtual Reality capable.
In just a few sessions, students have learnt what many of the instruments communicate to the pilot and how to control the fundamental aspects of a plane.
