Year 4 ‘Marble Run Extravangaza’
Last week, one of our Year 4 classes held a ‘Marble Run Extravangaza’ with lego!
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to problem solve their way through the process of constructing 3D marble runs, thinking about the angles of the slope, incorporating turns into their designs, considering the friction from the different types of bricks and ensuring there were retaining walls to keep the marbles on the track! Quite a challenging and multi-faceted process!
The students level of creativity and persistence during the construction process was very impressive and they’re all looking forward to the next lego challenge!
