Christmas Book Drive Donations – Thank you!
We were blown away by the donations we received for the Christmas Children’s Book Drive this year. A whopping 225 children’s novels and picture books poured in from teachers and staff, family groups and even from students who used their own pocket money to choose and purchase a gift for someone they may never meet!
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful Carey community, women at Bandyup Prison and Wandoo Rehabilitation Prison will be able to send a recorded bedtime story message and a book to the children they can’t be with at Christmas. What a blessing this will be to mums and children alike!
Thank you to everyone who donated. We can’t wait for the official handover of our books to the prison chaplaincy ministry this week. We will publish an update on the Book Drive early in Term 1 of 2021!
