Year 7 2025 Orientation Day
O Day is an opportunity to meet with students who will be joining us in Year 7 next year. Students will be placed in small groups and participate in lessons from a cross-section of Curriculum areas.
RSVP:
Please RSVP by completing the form here by Thursday 12 September 2024.
What your child will need for O Day:
- To wear their current school Physical Education uniform, including sports shoes
- Cap or hat
- A pencil case
- A water bottle and a snack for recess
The College will provide an optional sausage sizzle lunch with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. Students with other dietary requirements may bring their own lunch.
Musical Instruments:
For students who have selected Music as an elective, we encourage them to bring their instrument with them to O Day so that they can participate in a mini audition and brief aural test (involving singing and clapping) for class placement. The mini-audition will involve singing or playing (on their instrument) a piece of their choosing and something they will need to sightread. Keyboards and drum kits will be provided. During the day, instruments can be stored in Building M. Secondary students will assist incoming students with their instrument storage at the start of the day.
Please note, if your child auditioned for our GATE Music Scholarship earlier this year, they do not need to audition again.
