Year 2H write about Father’s Day
To celebrate Father’s Day, students in 2H at Carey Harrisdale have been working on a persuasive writing task about their dads. Click here to read four of the pieces.
My Dad is Better than a Super Hero by Devansh
My dad is better than a super hero because he is very smart, super strong and he takes care of me.
Firstly, my dad is very smart because he knows how many roof tiles he needs to make the roof. My dad is also smart because he knows what is wrong with the roof or the bricks. He is smart with my homework as well because he knows what’s wrong with my division.
Secondly, my dad is super strong because he protects me. My dad is super strong because yesterday we were at home and there was a bee and he caught the bee for me and let me keep it for one hour.
Thirdly, my dad takes care of me by taking me and my brother to the park sometimes. He also buys lots of toys for me and my brother and lets my friends come to my house and play with me.
That’s why my dad is very smart, super strong and takes care of me.
My Dad is Like a Super Hero by Alison
My dad s like a super hero because he is amazing at playing games, he is really strong and he gives the best hugs ever.
Firstly, he is amazing at winning games. He always wins at poker. He gets his game face out for us in Monopoly. He gives us a challenge.
Secondly, he is very strong just like a super hero. When I fall off my bike, he carries it home. For my birthday he moved my bed.
Last of all, he gives the best hugs ever. When I feel sad, his hugs cheer me up. When movies get scary, he will give me a hug.
In conclusion, I think my dad is just like a super hero.
Super Dad by Jonathon
My dad is better than a super hero because he is strong, brave and wise.
Firstly, he is strong because he can lift my bed. He can lift my heavy toys. He can lift my very heavy microwave. He can lift my heavy cupboard and he can lift me!
Secondly, he is brave to work in the dark. He can walk outside when it is night. He is brave to go to the shops at night and he is brave to go to a dark place.
Finally, he is wise because he knows if somebody is lying to him. He knows when somebody stole something and he knows if somebody took something from him.
That’s why he is strong, brave and wise.
My Super Dad by Remi
My dad is like a super hero because he is caring, helpful and gets everything we could possibly want.
Firstly, my dad cares for us because when we got walkie talkies, my dad came back from work at night and took us to Bunnings to buy batteries that he definitely didn’t have.
Secondly, my super dad is helpful because he helps me in learning and gives me Year 3 NAPLAN to learn more. He helps on pages I have trouble on.
Finally, my amazing dad gets lots of things I want. Once, my dad got a dollhouse I really wanted incredibly much.
I have the best dad because he is caring, helpful and giving. I have the best dad!!!!
