Maths Week
Last week was Maths Week and we had a variety of fun and challenging activities happening throughout the week.
Secondary students were able to engage in several maths logic games during lunchtime including bingo, carrom, chess, an infinity cube and a rubiks race.
A Pi Recitation quiz was also organised and Year 12 student Niv, won first place by recalling 182 decimal places of Pi.
We had four teams compete in the South Heat of the Secondary Interschool Numero Challenge. Students competed against 21 school teams, and one of our teams came first and will compete in the grand final tomorrow!
The Australian Mathematics Competition was also held last Thursday and we had 180 Secondary students and over 90 students in Years 3 to 6 compete in the 30-problem competition organised by the Australian Maths Trust.
Thanks to all our Maths staff for organising a fun and challenging week!
