Starting Kindergarten is a very significant event in the life of a child and yours as their parent/guardian too. We are delighted to be journeying with you and we are committed to making your family’s time at Carey a positive and valuable experience.

The early years are critical in a child’s development as they set the foundation for future learning, behaviour and health patterns. We want you to feel informed and well-prepared for your child to start school.

We invite you to our ‘Get Ready’ Parent Seminar. This seminar offers you the opportunity to connect with the Early Learning Centre staff, meet other parents, discuss expectations, raise awareness of early childhood issues and you can ask any questions you might have.

Please note: This session is designed for parents/guardians. We ask that you arrange for your child/ren to be cared for on the night as they will not be able to attend. We also ask that a maximum of 2 parents/guardians attend per Kindergarten 2024 student. 

If you are unable to attend, notes will be made available after the event.

Choose your preferred Kindergarten days

In the RSVP form, you will be able to choose your preferred days for your child to attend Kindergarten. If you are not able to attend, please still submit the RSVP form so that we can record your preference for days.

Kindergarten Orientation

Your child will be invited to attend a Kindy ‘Get Set’ Orientation Day, scheduled for Friday 22 September 2023. Session times and more information will be sent to you closer to this date.
