Carey United Soccer Club (CUSC) offers an opportunity for your children to learn soccer skills from Pre-Primary through to Year 9. We have 12 teams made up of both boys and girls over a variety of age groups, playing each Saturday morning from May to September at Carey Baptist College. In the past five years we have enjoyed the participation of Thornlie Christian College who have fielded a number of teams in each age group. Our emphasis at CUSC, is on participation rather than competition and we encourage good sportsmanship, being part of a team and having fun through exercise. Each week each Coach awards an Encouragement Award to one of the players in the team and at the end of the season each player receives a team photograph and trophy at our Family Fun Day in mid-September. |
2009 Soccer Season
We are currently finalising our teams, however please note we are attempting to avoid any "byes" this year as it was disruptive to the season last year.
- Saturday, 2 May: All parents/children to meet at the Primary School Oval to be placed into teams. Children will have a kick of the ball or a training session.
9:00am sharp - Pre-primary to Year 2.
10:00am sharp - Years 3 to 5.
11:00am sharp - Years 6 to 9. - Wednesday, 6 May: Wednesday training commences.
- Thursday, 7 May: Thursday training commences.
- Saturday, 9 May: First game.

Vacant Positions
We still have may positions open. Some positions that need to be filled as a matter of urgency are:
- Referees
- Coaches
- Assistant Coaches
- Team Managers
- First Aid Coordinator
- Line Marking Coordinator
This is essential for the Club to operate. We are not looking for experts. Absolutely no experience is necessary - only a willingness to help and a good sense of humour. Training and information will be provided including a parent coaching/referee clinic for Coaches and Assistant Coaches.If you have already volunteered, please still forward your details to careysoccerclub@hotmail.com to confirm you are available for the Season.
